Branding for racing teams: where to start

February 11, 2026·8 min read

Many racing teams have a visual identity that grew without a plan: a logo that shifts slightly season to season, colors that vary depending on who designed the last sticker, different typefaces on every piece.

The first step of serious branding is documenting what already exists: which colors, which typeface, which version of the logo is correct. From there, a simple brand guide is built that any supplier — from the one making the kart stickers to the one designing social posts — can follow.

Consistency between the box, social media and printed material is what makes a team read as a professional structure rather than an improvised project — exactly what sponsors look for when deciding who to partner with.
